About

About World Clue

World Clue is a geography learning experience that combines country guessing games, public country datasets, interactive maps, and player progress features.

Who is behind World Clue

World Clue is an independent project operated by Emil Edvardsson in Sweden. It aims to make geography enjoyable to learn through country games, maps and useful explanations.

What World Clue offers

Data approach

The project combines reviewed country information from public and licence-compatible sources into one browseable experience. Source dates and definitions matter: statistics may cover different years, classifications can differ, and a displayed map or country name is not a statement about sovereignty or political recognition. Content can contain mistakes or become outdated.

Use a clue's information control, image credit or map guide to inspect its sources, licences and important qualifications. The third-party notices provide additional distributed-data and software credits. Monthly temperature profiles use NASA POWER monthly T2M air temperature data for the displayed year. Please report a questionable fact through the data feedback form and include the country, field and source where possible.

Accounts and progress

You can play as a guest or create an account to save results and game history. Account features are optional and currently available from age 16. Public-profile and competitive-mode settings control public participation; read the fair play rules for how those choices work. Your account email is not public. The Privacy Policy explains storage, advertising choices, exports and deletion.

Who it is for

World Clue is for people who enjoy trivia, geography and exploring world data. Teachers and other educators can use it as a learning reference while respecting its account-age rules. It provides general educational information, not professional, travel, safety or emergency advice. A service for younger account holders is not currently available.
